Paint And Assembly Manager 

SALARY:  $120,000 – $150,000

SUMMARY:  As the Paint and Assembly Manager, you will lead and mentor supervisors and will be responsible for all aspects of the assembly and paint department.  In this role, as you succeed, you have the opportunity to move up in the organization to a Plant Manager role.  This is a profitable, multi-location, company that has been aggressively growing.  They are looking for a team builder and mentor, not a dictator.  Benefits and comprehensive relocation assistance are part of this package. 

Paint And Assembly Manager Duties/Responsibilities:

  • The primary function of the Paint and Assembly Manager is to manage all operational aspects of the 4-shift plastics plant which operates 24/7, ensuring the efficient scheduling of all production for the departments under your responsibility so that orders are met.
  • The Paint and Assembly Manager will manage, train, and review Supervisors, and work closely with quality and maintenance in your area.
  • The Paint and Assembly Manager will ensure employment is at the appropriate level and that all associates are well-trained.
  • Manage the housekeeping such that the plant is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Manage & participate in continuous improvement initiatives and 5S in the plant.

 Paint And Assembly Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business preferred
  • The Paint and Assembly Manager must have a minimum of 5 years of management with an automotive OEM manufacturer. 
  • The Paint and Assembly Manager must have experience with plastic injection molding, and base coat clear coat paint, and have worked in an IATF16949 certified plant.
  • The Paint and Assembly Manager must have excellent people skills, a “leader’s” personality, and the ability to have a team rally behind them to meet the output and growth goals of the company.   
  • Safety must be of paramount importance.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, & 6-Sigma would be a benefit.
